Hometown: Greensburg, Pa., which is roughly a half hour east of
Pittsburgh and close to Latrobe. Quick, who can name the four things Latrobe is most famous for?

College: Ohio University. No, not Ohio State.

First job in journalism: Staff Writer at The Washington Post, unless you
count my job writing Mid-American Conference football notebooks in college.

At Washington Post since: Intern June-Aug 07, full time April 08.

Favorite Sport: Hockey.

Favorite Athlete: That's like asking me to spin a roulette wheel and pick
one of any number of hockey players. For a current player, lets go with
Calgary's Dion Phaneuf and for the past Ron Francis and Paul Coffey.

Favorite Team: I grew up a Pittsburgh Penguins fan. You may all hate me
now.

Favorite Writer (Other than Tom Boswell): Jim Murray, Gay Talese, Ben Fong Torres.

Favorite Moment at Post: Not sure yet.

Favorite Moment on WPL: Any time Russ Thaler wears odd socks, like orange and blue striped ones.
