Ron Thompson is now in his rookie-season with ComcastSportsNet as a commentator and an analyst.

He is also a guest / co-host for his father and Hall of Fame coach, on "The John Thompson Show," on Washington’s SportsTalk 980.

Ron joins Comcast SportsNet after leading Ball State University men's basketball squad.  Before that, he was an assistant coach at the University of Arkansas and Georgetown University. He previously assisted Brian Ellerbe at Loyola College (Maryland).  Ron began his coaching career at the University of Oregon, with Jerry Green.  His professional career began as a scout for Larry Brown and the Philadelphia 76ers.

Ron lives in Virginia with his wife, Erica, and their two children.
